G20 ISTANBUL 2015

2nd Annual G20 World Brain Mapping & Therapeutic Scientific Summit
13 November 2015, Üsküdar University Istanbul

Building Global Alliance in Brain Mapping & Therapeutics through supporting President Obama’s BRAIN Initiative

Üsküdar University, Üsküdar University NPISTANBUL Neuropsychiatry Hospital and SBMT (Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics), invite you to attend this important scientific summit being held in Istanbul on 13 November 2015.

According to the World Health Organization's large-scale studies, about a third of the adult worldwide population suffer from a mental disorder such as depression, anxiety, alzheimer, MS and schizophrenia. If also taken together with neurological disorders, such as dementia and stroke, these "disorders of the brain" account for 13% of the global disease burden. This surpasses both cardiovascular diseases (5%) and cancer (10%). Countries with the highest rate includes the USA, UK, Russia. The time and place of the G20 meeting in Turkey this year is the perfect back drop for a scientific summit on all things about brain!

The Summit aims to contribute to President Obama’s BRAIN initiative and to expand action on the current and upcoming initiatives across the G20 nations. The G20 Ministers, Ambassadors, Science and trade attachés are invited to this unique event. We expect representatives from Üsküdar University, Üsküdar University NPISTANBUL Neuropsychiatry Hospital, Turkish Neurosurgical Society , SBMT (Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics) , industry leaders, leading Turkish researchers; G20 scientists and business leaders attend this event.
